TCRG will hold two youth pheasant hunts during the month of October, during the last two consecutive weekends of the month.

• First Hunt: Saturday, October 24 – Sunday, October 25, 2009
• Second Hunt: Saturday, October 31 – Sunday, November 1, 2009

There will be two sessions held each day:

• 8:00am – 12:00pm
• 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Event is open to Members Only with a maximum of 2 youth hunters per adult Member.

• Members may opt to bring one guest child, but may not exceed the limit of two children.
• Hunters must be 17 years of age or younger.
• Three pheasants will be released per child.
• Bag limit is two pheasants,  per hunter,  per day. (State Law)
• All hunters must be licensed and adhere to all State and Federal hunting regulations.

Trumbull County Rod & Gun Club will hold its Spring Sportsmen’s Swap meet this Saturday, April 18, at the club grounds.

Field Trials for Coon-dogs will be held also.

Trumbull County Rod & Gun will hold a Hunters Education/Safety Course on March 13th and 15th 2009

Dates/Times:

Friday, March 13 from 5 to 9 pm.

Sunday, March 15 from 1 to 7 pm.

Details:

Course is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome but participants need to be able to read and comprehend subject matter in order to take the exam.

Please note the following regarding the January 2009 meeting of Trumbull County Rod & Gun Club:

• Due to the fact that the first Thursday of January falls on January 1, the meeting has been moved to Thursday January 8, 2009.
• The January meeting (and those following) will begin at 8:00 pm
• The 2009 Officer Election will be held at the January 8 meeting.

IMPORTANT: The March 2008 Club meeting will be held one hour earlier, at 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 6.

This is the most important meeting of the year. All membership dues must be paid at, or prior to, the meeting. Also, the locks on the clubhouse doors will be replaced, and new keys distributed to current members.

If you are unable to make the meeting, be sure to make alternative arrangements to pay your dues (if you have not already) and get your keys for the new year.

A hunter’s safety course will be offered January 11 & 13 for anyone who might need to be certified.

Classes are:

Friday, January 11th from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Sunday, January 13th from 1:00pm – 7:00 pm
