Hunting

Trumbull County Rod & Gun Club takes our mission of wildlife conservation seriously. As such, we work to promote safe,  responsible hunting activities, and pass on the American hunting tradition to our community’s young people.

Hunter Education Courses

The club hosts ODNR-sponsored hunter education courses usually every spring and fall.

For more information on our hunter education courses, find our next date for a class, and to pre-register, please visit the state website:

https://oh-web.s3licensing.com/Event/Index

When you get to the page, select “Hunter Education” for the “Event Type” and then “Classroom” for the “Class Activity Type”. Click submit, and then you will be taken to a page to specify a zipcode or city.  Where it says “Show open classes for HUNTER EDUCATION within [25 miles]”, change this to “10 miles”, and then specify a zip code of “44410”. After you have entered these values, click the “Go” button.

You will be taken to a list of upcoming classes in the area you specified. Look for “Trumbull County Rod & Gun Club”.

Fall Pheasant Hunts

Trumbull County Rod & Gun Club raises pheasants each year during the spring/summer months, and then releases them into the wild in the fall, usually in October or November. Special hunts are provided for youths, disabled and elderly hunters, veterans, and more.

Check our calendar for upcoming hunts later in the year.
