All members please remember that the January meeting is perhaps one of the most important meetings of the new year.

The meeting will be held Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 8:00 p.m.

Election of 2010 Officers will take place at this meeting, so now is the time to start considering who you would like to nominate for the positions President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Trustee. On meeting night, nominations will be heard, followed by a vote of the members present to elect the new officers.

Also, 2010 membership dues will begin to be taken at the January meeting as well.

The officers of TCRG and their families would like to wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

The Indoor Archery League will begin January 17, 2010.

The league will run for ten weeks, ending with a banquet on April 11, 2010, from 2pm until 6pm. The banquet which will feature food and beverages, with door prizes and trophies to be given away.

The participation fee for the league is $20.00, and will cover the cost of the shoots and the banquet. Money will be due by the March meeting, on March 4, 2010, and should be paid by check only, no cash. Checks should be made out to Brooke Manser and put in the archery lock box.

Persons interested in participating in the 2010 Indoor Archery League should sign up on the sheet posted at the TCRG Clubhouse.

TCRG will hold two pheasant hunts during the month of November.

• First Hunt: Saturday, November 7 – Sunday, November 8 2009
• Second Hunt: Saturday, November 14 – Sunday, November 15 2009

There will be two sessions held each day:

• 8:00am – 12:00pm
• 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Event is open to adult Members Only.

• Members may opt to bring one guest hunter.
• Three pheasants will be released per hunter.
• Bag limit is two pheasants,  per hunter,  per day. (State Law)
• All hunters must be licensed and adhere to all State and Federal hunting regulations.

Event is open to Members Only with a maximum of 2 youth hunters per adult Member.

• Members may opt to bring one guest child, but may not exceed the limit of two children.
• Hunters must be 17 years of age or younger.
• Three pheasants will be released per child.
• Bag limit is two pheasants,  per hunter,  per day. (State Law)
• All hunters must be licensed and adhere to all State and Federal hunting regulations.

Here are a few important points from this evening’s meeting:

1. If you have not done so allready, ALL MEMBERS need to get to the club and fill out a new member  information form. The blue cards have been abandoned in favor of a new document that is easier to manage, and everyone has to fill one out asap. Be sure to get with Tim at the next meeting to get yours filled out.

2. The Fall Sporting Goods Swap Meet and Coon Dog Trials will be held on Saturday, September 26 from 9am – 3pm. Tables are available for $10.00, and dealers are welcome! A flyer is available if you’d like to print one up and post them around town. Download it here (13MB PDF)

3. Be sure to register your email with the club, so you can get updates and newsletters.

IMPORTANT: Remember, when registering, be sure to use your LEGAL name as the username. This way we all know who we’re talking to.

Trumbull County Rod & Gun Club will hold its Spring Sportsmen’s Swap meet this Saturday, April 18, at the club grounds.

Trumbull County Rod & Gun will hold a Hunters Education/Safety Course on March 13th and 15th 2009

Dates/Times:

Friday, March 13 from 5 to 9 pm.

Sunday, March 15 from 1 to 7 pm.

Details:

Course is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome but participants need to be able to read and comprehend subject matter in order to take the exam.
