2015 GARAND-SPRINGFIELD-MILITARY (GSM) SERVICE RIFLE CLINIC

Saturday June 6, 2015 – 71st Anniversary of D-Day

This approximate 6-hour clinic will cover the Garand-Springfield-Vintage Matches with classroom instruction and demonstrations. This clinic is conducted by Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Master Instructors. Topics include Springfield-Vintage Military Match rules, shooting positions and techniques, scoring and pit pulling procedures and how to fire the Military Rifle Match courses of fire. The clinic is open to all competitors. Any potential competitors in the Springfield, Vintage Military or Garand Matches who have not previously fired in one of these CMP national matches are required to attend a clinic (or local sanctioned match) before they fire. All other competitors in these matches are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the information presented. Range time will take approximately 1-hour per group of 10 shooters (max positions available at range per time).

2015 Spring Hunters Education Class

Trumbull County Rod & Gun Club and ODNR will sponsor a 2-part hunters education course during the last week of March 2015. The course is free, open to the public, and available to both Adult and Youth hunters.

2015 Youth Fishing Derby

Trumbull County Rod and Gun Club will host our Annual youth fishing derby on  Saturday, April 18, 2015. Event is open to all youth up to the age of 17 years old. This event is open to the public.

Please Preregister by calling Dan Java at 216-469-3472 .

This event is sponsored by the Trumbull county Rod and Gun Club, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, U. S. Fish & Wildlife Services, and Sport Fish & Wildlife Restoration.

Come and have a great day teaching children how to fish and catch, clean, and prepare their fish to eat.

Registration starts at 9 AM. Fishing begins at 10 AM and continues until 2 PM.

Possible Door Prizes. Lunch will be served around 12 PM.

Please dress for the weather!!! Adults need to bring your cameras as well. Please bring your own fishing equipment. Bait will be provided BY TCRG.

Our Pond will be stocked with over 100 Rainbow trout and over 10 Golden Trout. Each Golden trout wins a gold dollar. Door prizes will be given away.

2015 Youth Fishing Derby

2015 Jake’s Day

Trumbull County Rod and Gun Club, in co-operation with the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources and the National Wild Turkey Federation will sponsor and host JAKES DAY on April 4, 2015.

Registration:  8:30 AM to 9:30 AM

Events begin: 9:30 AM.

This event is free of cost to everyone and is open to the public. It is for youth of all ages. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.

We will have the following events for the kids:

  • BB gun shooting,
  • Skeet shooting,
  • Archery shooting,
  • Shot gun simulator,
  • Craft and/or informational instructor.

Lunch will be provided. Please dress for the weather.

Youth that wish to participate in the State Youth Turkey drawing to hunt turkey in the Mosquito Wildlife refuge will be able to pick from the available assigned hunting areas after this event, which will last until about 1 PM. Youth that wish to be picked for the youth Hunts must have a current and valid hunting license.

Spring Thaw Fundraiser 2015 – Saturday, March 21

On Saturday, March 21, 2015, Trumbull County Rod & Gun Club will hold its annual spring fundraiser.

The event will be held at Tiffany’s Banquet Center at 601 Bedford Rd Southeast in Brookfield, Ohio (click for directions).

Doors will open at 4:00 PM with dinner served at 6:30 PM

Guns ~ Games ~ Prizes

This banquet is held to help fund our club’s continuing youth and outdoor educational programs and conservation for our area.

Join us for a great banquet style meal and an evening of fun and fellowship.
