Family Fun Day – Oct 17

Please remember that this coming Saturday, October 17, 2015 is the TCRG Family Fun day. We will need work help for this event.  We are going to have skeet shooting, 22 shooting, and Archery shooting.  This event is free and open to anyone that wants to learn any of the shooting sports.
We also need some 22 rifles and someone to work as Range masters.  Also anyone with youth shotguns that we could use will be helpful for the skeet range, as well as anyone with archery experience.  The event runs from 11 AM until 3 PM.  Work help will be needed from 9 AM to 11 AM..

September Hunter’s Education Course

Trumbull County Rod & Gun Club will host an Ohio Hunter’s Education course in September.

2 Sessions (must attend both):

Friday, Sept 18, 2015 – 5:30pm – 9:30pm
Sunday, Sept 20, 2015 – 1:00pm – 7:00pm

Class is open to the public. Attendees must be present both days, and pass a test in order to be certified.

  • Sunday, July 12 –  Outdoor Archery 3-D shoot. 8 AM to 1 PM.
  • July 14 – 19 – Trumbull County Fair. More info here and here.
  • Friday, July 17 –  TCRG State Archery Trailer at Trumbull County Fair. Two shifts: 10 AM to 3 PM and 3 PM to 7 PM.
  • Saturday, July 25 – Family Fun Day skeet shoot, Picnic 10 AM to 4 PM.
  • Sunday, August 16 – TCRG Family Picnic.

Saturday June 6, 2015 – 71st Anniversary of D-Day

Starting at 08:00 and ending around 14:00~15:00 at:
Trumbull County Rod & Gun Club

This approximate 6-hour clinic will cover the Garand-Springfield-Vintage Matches with classroom instruction and demonstrations. This clinic is conducted by Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Master Instructors. Topics include Springfield-Vintage Military Match rules, shooting positions and techniques, scoring and pit pulling procedures and how to fire the Military Rifle Match courses of fire. The clinic is open to all competitors. Any potential competitors in the Springfield, Vintage Military or Garand Matches who have not previously fired in one of these CMP national matches are required to attend a clinic (or local sanctioned match) before they fire. All other competitors in these matches are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the information presented. Range time will take approximately 1-hour per group of 10 shooters (max positions available at range per time).


2015 Spring Hunters Education Class

Trumbull County Rod & Gun Club and ODNR will sponsor a 2-part hunters education course during the last week of March 2015. The course is free, open to the public, and available to both Adult and Youth hunters.
